Geofence & Visual Zone

The Geofence and Visual Zone features of the pet tracker provide an intelligent, location-based safety system for your pets. Through the VOV Smart Care App, you can define both safe zones and danger zones on an interactive map. When a pet enters or exits these designated areas, the system immediately sends an alert, helping owners respond quickly to potential risks.

The Visual Zone interface makes it easy to draw and manage zones of any shape or size, making it ideal for a variety of environments, whether it’s around your home, a park, or a neighborhood. In addition, the device can automatically detect frequently used Wi-Fi hotspots (such as your home network) to define or reinforce safe zones, enhancing accuracy and responsiveness indoors.

Whether you’re preventing your pet from getting lost or keeping them away from busy roads or other hazards, this system offers reliable protection. The combination of Geofence and Visual Zone ensures more freedom for your pet and greater peace of mind for you.

Why am I not receiving Virtual Zone notifications?

There may be several reasons why you are not receiving notifications for your Virtual Zone, and one of the most common reasons is a delay in the notification process, which can be caused by the following factors:

  • Network Conditions: The reliability of the network connection plays a crucial role in sending notifications. If you have a weak or unstable mobile data or Wi-Fi connection, there could be delays in receiving alerts. The system requires a stable internet connection to send notifications in real-time.
  • GPS Signal Availability: The accuracy of your pet’s location depends on the GPS signal strength. If your pet is in an area with poor GPS reception, such as indoors, underground, or in densely built areas, the tracker may not be able to accurately determine when the pet enters or exits the Virtual Zone. This can lead to a delay in notifications or even cause the notifications to be missed.
  • Notification Settings: Please ensure that your phone’s notification settings are properly configured to allow alerts from the pet tracking app. If notifications are disabled, you will not receive any updates regarding your pet’s activity within the defined zones.
  • App and Device Sync: Occasionally, there may be a delay in syncing between the pet tracker device and the mobile app. Make sure both the device firmware and the app are up to date to ensure proper functioning.

If you’re still experiencing issues after checking these factors, we recommend restarting the app or device, or ensuring the tracker is in a location with better network and GPS signal strength.
